Question About Mounting Mantis Device to Gen5 G45?

I’m having difficulty attaching the Mantis device for the rail on my Gen5 G45.....watched the small amount of YouTube available with no help.

Any suggestions welcome....I’m probably missing something simple.

I seen a pic rail section glued to a magazine base pad. Allows use of holster.

Keep in mind that the device can be mounted facing forward or backward as indicated by the settings on the app, so it is okay if you need to flip the device around if that makes it easier to get onto the rail.

Thanks for the responses.....I decided to try it on my M&P 2.0 compact and it went on with little effort. After that, I realized that I simply had to “muscle” it a bit to start it on, and then use the lever to set it in place.....
