@Rock185 Thank you! They are handsome, and seem to fit the revolver well. I expect that a model 638 or 49 is in my future, and the Herretts look like a likely grip for it.
First touch up since 2017, I have an XS big dot I was going to install but decided the sight picture isn’t for me. Glad I was able to mess with one before I started the filing.

Hasty driveway photos but I was excited to share this one. Legend has it this belonged to an attorney who worked for S&W and was a collector of rare revolvers made by his client. Guy goes through a divorce and needs cash so he offloaded almost the entire collection. This was one of them.
A 49 that I recently found at a little gun shop in PA. That blue is shiny isn't it?
