What is the range for a drone that can launch such a strike? It's like 1100 miles from the nearest US base (Qatar?)

Haha, of course! It is still amazing the capabilities the US can call upon. Even the Russians with a dedicated air defense are still getting picked off by those Turkish made drones.
If I was a terrorist, I would look to the skies not to pray to God but to look out for the wraith of Uncle Sam. Actually, I would never go outside. Cave living sounds good.

Well, that's assuming it was a land-based drone.
