Recommendations for knife sharpeners

Anyone have any recommendations of people who can sharpen?

I sharpen my Japanese gyutos on my stones but don’t feel confident with a custom blade profile.
I tried contacting the maker and cannot get ahold of anyone.



So if anyone has a go to person that they use please list them. I am sure this could become a resource for others.

Unfortunately I don't have a recommendation for you. But out of interest, do you care to share the blade that you find so challenging?

There are several highly regarded sharpeners and customizers on bladeforums.com that often frequent the M, T & E Forum

If you are not a member, I would suggest registering and posting in that sub-forum for recommendations and advice. I haven't personal experience with any of them, but several are very highly respected. (You can use search in the sub-forum as well.)
