My "@" (mention) function seems to be broke?

I've noticed over the last few weeks (months?) that anytime someone mentions me in a post, using the "@" symbol, there doesn't seem to be any reaction from the forum software, in that, there are no "mention" tags auto-generated.

Here's a post with a recent example @'ing several people, however you'll notice that I'm the only one with out a link being autogenerated.

Not, really, that this is a huge deal, but I was finally interested in it enough to ask a question about it. I've seen it across multiple platforms and browsers (windows/Firefox, iPad/Firefox). Plus it's the forum doing this, not me, as far as I can tell.

Would there be any reason why my account would not have the "@" (mention) function working?

Check your settings:

In my "User Tagging - General Settings" all check-boxes are unchecked. In my "Privacy Settings", "Everyone" is selected in all drop-down-lists. I suppose that I have not changed these settings and that these are the defaults.

There's also the fact I haven't (to my knowledge) changed anything there lately (or maybe, if ever) in my profile...so kinda weird.

I tried it three different ways with spaces after and with returns after and with caps versus no caps.

All seemed to work.

Should be adjustable in Settings -> Profile Privacy. But meanwhile I doubt that it's relevant

That works! But that appears to be a different set of vBulletin code (I assume it's vBulletin code?) as in that the above is a "member" tag with a direct link to "me", not a "mention" tag, which as far as I know is what appears when you "@" a member, like so: @RoyGBiv

In my last post, the forum did not auto-generate the mention-tag for me. So I figured out how to do it manually. Might be too much of a bother, but just in case anyone cares:

The way the mention -tag appears to identify the person mentioned is by a member number. This number is part of the URL for that persons profile page. For example, my page is https://pistol-forum.com/member.php?2619-That-Guy and therefore my number seems to be 2619. So to mention me without auto-generating the tag you would type:

Without the spaces inside the brackets. (And I expect you could type anything you wanted between the tags, if you wanted to.)

Or at least this seemed like it worked, when I tried it. :)
