PF Search Issues

I know there’s a lot of good info on here, but it’s hard to find.

If I search “G43” in the app, I get every single thread where anyone ever mentioned a G43. But if I search “pistol-forum.com G43” in Google, I get a helpful list of results with thread titles.

If I hit one of those search results, I go to the webpage, with no option to open in the much easier to use Tapatalk app.

Any workarounds for this?

I’m on an up-to-date iPhone SE and use Google Chrome as my browser.

First suggestion, use DuckDuckGo instead of Google. Second suggestion, use "Site:" in front of search terms, like "Site: pistol-forum.com G43", it will only show results from the site specified. DuckDuckGo yields similar results to Google, and they won't target you for advertisement or sell your personal information...

Not sure about Tapatalk, but when searching threads on PF in your browser, using Advanced Search allows you to use a dropdown window to change from "Search Entire Posts" to "Search Titles Only". Helps when looking for thread subjects and not key words in posts.

Thanks for the help. I’m on my iPhone; I don’t have a desktop. Best I can do is an iPad. Search functionality is pretty limited in the iPhone app.

Yeah I’m using Tapatalk. My screen is tiny so using the browser on the phone’s not fun. Is there another/better app? Tapatalk works great for reading and browsing but not searching.
