Just for fun, I put 25 rounds through it to see if it resolved, which it didn’t. Additionally, all my shots were left, and it appears like my barrel is chanted with the front sight to the right when looking down the sights....
Here’s a combo group, 5 from 5 yds, and 5 from 10 yds. The 5 furthest left with the vertical stringing is from the 10 (don’t tell anyone how close I got to the clip):

That is disappointing, all of it, and exponentially more so for a PC gun.
As a side note, while picking out a new no-lock 642-1 for a friend and fellow PF'er today, it took me going through four boxes to find one with a straight barrel and sights. The first three were slightly off to the right, one significantly worse than the other two. Just another data point.
Side not for J frame question:
The finish on my 642 is just not holding up... Andy way to keep the clear coat on? Or is my sweat + IWB just going to eat this revolver?

3rd on NP3. Both from when I was working police gun shops and as a cop we had numerous officers who had sweat that would just eat stuff. NP3 was the go to for those guys.
