I wasn't joking.

Not Hydrashok; nor will the new requirements likely allow for that load.
HST or Gold Dot G2 with brass case (not nickel) would be my guess. EFMJ on the far outside.
Hopefully they will move forward and not backward on bullet design.
I am hopeful that it will be some type of bonded JHP type of round.
You guys will all freak out when they announce they have selected Federal C9BPLE as the new round for the 21st century...

Instead of getting hung up on how a bullet LOOKS, maybe serious professionals should focus on how it PERFORMS. In other words, make procurement decisions based on a set of lawful end-user requirements and then let the engineers come up with the best design they can build to meet those needs, as SSA Buford Boone and others have been stating for many years. For example, valid military handgun ammunition requirements might look something like:
-- Be blind to impact yaw
-- Limit penetration to 12-18” (irrespective of intermediate barriers)
-- Resist yaw in tissue, with no yaw earlier than 12”
-- Continues on original shot line after penetrating tissue (and after penetrating any intermediate barrier)
-- Be barrier blind (4 layer denim, automobile windshield, steel, wallboard, plywood, etc...)
-- Limit fragmentation and maintain original projectile mass
-- Perform consistently from 0-50 meters with handguns
-- Be accurate enough to engage human targets to 100 meters with handguns
