breakingtime91, I will try and get a pic of one today.
Thanks

I've been playing around with mine the last few days after adding a comfort pad. The holster felt and worked great "out of the box" but I'm one of those fiddler kind of guys. I have foam wedge pads on my George holsters but this WC-2.5 didn't need any additional grip turn. This pad is a simple 3/8" oval shape oriented to my body and carry position. It does provide additional comfort and drives the upper part of the gun into body a little more snugly.
I also softened the end of the claw a bit. The upper surface had a very slight molding flash that was irritating middle knuckle. Easy enough to remove with sandpaper and I melted end face while I was at it. The holster is a little easier on and off with this slight mod.
I've worn the holster while doing early spring property maintenance, a few hours on horseback and one short canoe paddle. Not the most tactical of trials but its my reality ;) Very, very happy with the Wing Claw 2.5. I see more of these in my future.

Finally got back to CO and have my guns + new Wing claw 2.5 holster from JMCK. Still getting used to it but first impression is that it's the best AIWB holster I've ever owned. Ordered for the Glock 17/34 (open muzzle) it with foam pad. Body is G17 sized. Carries my 19 perfectly; have not yet tried the 17 though. Really astonishingly good combination of concealability and comfort. Couldn't be happier.
Nephrology, good deal. Thanks for the business!
What are people using to grind down the claws?
I use a dremel with a sanding drum for this kind of work but it could easily be done with a mill/bastard file. Slower but its a small job. Finish dressing the modified surface with sandpaper.
Remove only a small amount as you go and try the modified claw often. It doesn't take much material removal to change the degree of pivot pressure thus changing the angle the holster will sit against the body.
breakingtime91, here is a side by side pic. Took half the claw depth off of the one on the left. Attachment 15733
Or half off the one on the bottom. I suck at pictures, but if the claw is too much and makes the slide kick out, this will help.
Look over here, R...
Just wanted to add to this thread now that I've had some time playing with my 2.5 that came in this past week for my PPQ-- I love it. I had the original AIWB since 2013 and one thing that "bugged" me slightly was the belt line bulge. I sucked it up and ran with it, but the 2.5 solves the issue. It's crazy how much of a difference it makes. Thanks again, Tony, for a heck of a product and great service!
brewmeister, more than welcome, thanks for the business and glad it's working for you!
Hey everyone, we have updated the Wing Claw 2.5 belt loop options to include all of our belt loop options, as well as an option for red dot cuts!
Thanks
I am unclear on how the Wing Claw, Wing Claw 2.0 and Wing Claw 2.5 designs differ. Can someone break it down for me?
Enel, I will break it down for you when I get back in front of my laptop, couple hours probably.
Enel, here is the scoop.
The Wing Claw uses the smaller claw attached to a wing on the holster so it has minimum material under the dust cover. You can loosen or tighten the wing for added/decreased torque. You can even take it off and use risers if you want for grip tuck. It uses all my available belt loop options, has two sets of ride height holes, and is made from .093 material (everything I make is from .093). Can be ordered with red dot cuts.
Wing Claw 2.0 uses a different claw that attaches under the dust cover. It can be ordered with Raven Over hooks (most popular and they are a really good over hook) or struts with pull the dot loops (more ride height adjustments with these, but usually don't work with red dot sights). It is somewhat tuck-able, but the belt loops will still show on the belt. Ride height can be changed by moving the Over hook. Can be ordered with red dot cuts. This holster works well with longer barreled guns.
Wing Claw 2.5 uses the same claw as the 2.0 (attaches under the dust cover), but the claw doesn't carry any loops. It now has the same hole pattern and belt loop options as my Wing Claw and is now available with red dot sight cuts. It is simpler design for us to make, so it is cheaper than the other 2 designs.
Hope that helps, let me know if you have any other questions.
Thanks
Enel, there are multiple images (as well as descriptions) of each holster listed via this page on the JMCK website.
Respectfully, if it is that important to have the images here, you can copy and paste those images without asking someone else to do so.
Tony is gracious enough to answer the questions here that we cannot seem to answer for ourselves via his website or haven't taken to email (or phone).
You are correct. It has been a while since I visited that website and in the past have found the descriptions pretty confusing. Obviously things have changed and been tuned up quite a bit.

Just got my hands on one of these, second-hand from eBay.
So far I'm pretty pleased. It's a G17/22 model I'm using to cart around my G19 and it conceals nicely. The gun doesn't "click" in to the holster like I would expect, but tightening the retention some the holster retains the firearm well.
This holster is being used to take another swing at AIWB carry for me, likely easier after dropping 30 pounds from my last attempt. I'm fiddling with placement but am already feeling more comfort this time versus prior attempts.
I removed one of the 2 pull-the-dot loops but otherwise it it still my fav AIWB for a G19.
I just wanted to quickly mention, for anyone new to the forum, or just new to AIWB holsters, that JM Custom Kydex makes a variety of AIWB models for different body types. A potential buyer should not order the latest/newest JM Custom Kydex holster, but the one that fits best. For my individual body, the George is the best fit, confirmed with right-hand Georges for the G19, SP101, and 1911. (There is a relatively recent thread on the George, here in this section of the forum, if I remember correctly.)
I recently tried a lefty Wing Claw 2.5, which I found pre-owned on evil-bay. The workmanship is truly excellent, the norm for JM Custom, but on my body, well, let's just say it is a very nice cross-draw rig.
When I finally decide which will most-likely be my post-retirement* left-handed "primary" handgun, I will be ordering a new George. (My above-mentioned Georges came to me pre-owned.)
*I will not be switching guns, as much as transitioning "primary" to the left side.
This is very true for me.
I use the JM AIWB Wing Claw 1.0 with the Extra Tuck option. http://www.jmcustomkydex.com/p/AIWB-WC.html
I don't like pull the dot loops - like most folks seem to.
I don't like foam wedges - like most folks seem to.
The narrower muzzle end of the holster combined with the extra tuck makes the 1.0 is most comfortable for me.
I've tried other JM's (and other brands) with the larger claw of the 2.0 and 2.5 but it makes the holster too wide for me. The smaller claw of the 1.0 just works - for me.
Options. Tony has 'em.

Just put my order in for a 2.5 for a Glock 30sf

2.5 with standard holes = much better!!
I thought the front loop on the 2.5 printed badly and left the slide sticking out.
The grip is tucked in and the slide doesn't print at all on me.
Excellent modification! My go-to "George" is going to get jealous.

I took off the loop that printed badly, works just fine and prints less.
Works well with my Keepers holster too.
That is the beauty of the pull the dot loops, they are very adaptable!!
I have a bunch of The George holsters with extra tuck. No wing holsters. I'm about to RMR my G19. What should I get? I'm tempted to try to send in my current The George for my 19 and just have it cut for an RMR. On the other hand I'd really like to try the wing holster.
1. If I go with a wing holster what should I get based on the fact I like The George holsters with pull the dot loops?
2. Do I really need the extra tuck if I have the wing? I'm not much of a fan of using foam wedges.
3. Can new holsters be ordered in orange, not just the orange carbon fiber?
4. What is the cost and turnaround if I wanted to just send in my current The George holster and have it cut for an RMR? If that's even an option.
Thanks Tony!
xman, I like the 2.5 design with pull the dot loops and wide hole pattern the best. If you know you like the extra tuck and it works for you, stick with it. I am big fan of the neo wedge because it lasts and is usually more comfortable, plus it can be moved to your liking or trimmed if need be. You can even turn it sideways! One of the reasons we came out with it is they last a long time with barely any loss of shape. SeanO still has the same wedge from 2 years ago, still uses it daily! I still have some orange, but we are moving away from kydex. The quality is hit and miss, and Boltaron or Holstex is much "cleaner" and a better material for us to work with. I think it's easier on the finish of your gun as well. If you still want the orange, just let me know in the comments. I can retrofit an existing holster for a red dot cut. Send it back with $15.00 in the box ($5 for the red dot cut and $10 to cover shipping) and I can get it shipped back to you within 2 days of getting it. Thanks
