I was listening to some random stuff on Amazon Prime Music today and a cover of Dammit, originally by Blink-182, came on. It was called Dammit (After Dark) by Dead on a Sunday. I was blown away. It was genuinely haunting. Completely opposite energy and emotional impact than the original.

Not quite a cover as it was a tribute and not better than the original but a great performance.

Is it a cover if the artist who did it originally, redoes it in a better way?
