@GJM and any others.
Has anyone done any more serious work with the Ruger LCR 9mm? How are you liking them?
Well this is a timely thread top.
I just happened to be looking at the Ruger LCR web page at a .38 special version. Interesting they have pinned front sights. Must look to see if there is an Ameriglo Bold option available.
Ameriglo doesn't show listings for Ruger. There are tritium and fiber optic options available, though.

Thanks Chuck.
I’m torn between an LCR in .38 Special and a no lock 642 J Frame.
I’ve shot a lightweight J frame rental a few cylinders. I am pretty sure I would prefer the heavier steel / alloy 14.6 oz 642 snubby.
The Ruger LCR 5401 at 13.5 oz is similar weight, so hopefully the experience would be similar.
I think a range visit is on the plot tomorrow, so I may sidle over to the Ree-voll-verrr counter and compare them in hand side by side.
This right here. My son bought a .357 LCR, which we finally shot last week.
.38's were fine. Just because, I had a box of 125 grain Hornady Magnum XTPs along. These don't bother me out of my SP-101, but 3 rounds was enough out of the LCR. One was enough for him.....and the fifth round in the cylinder went back into the box.
