I almost posted this in the shooting incident thread but would like to see a bigger discussion. Ifvits a dead horse, please share links and accept my apology.

I feel stunned every time I read about a school shooting. The increasing frequency of these things is frightening and I'm starting to agree with Dave Grossman that violence in video games is having an impact on the level of violence that children are willing to contemplate. I think it's something that probably has less and less of an effect as brains mature and gain perspective. I think there's a difference between shooting someone, learning how awful that is and then being unable to function and shooting someone and then moving on to do violence against someone else... The later takes preparation and conditioning which I can only assume comes from what kids see.

Thoughts?
