Is this the price of freedom?
If this is happening even in un-free places.... How are we to stop it here?

Total surveilance, apparently.

Actually, it's the price of poor driving and not a lot of motor insurance. Dashcams are common in Russia for proving cases in the event of accidents.

We're not landlocked with Chechnyans and at war with extremists from there. We also don't have tens of thousands of miles of borders like them.

But people can smuggle things in like there.

And yes, freedom has risks.

I guarantee you all the guns in the Kenyan mall situation and these suicide belts used here weren't registered or legal.

So why are you indicating freedom is in question?

That's right. No Chechen would ever set off a bomb in America.

When I see things like this bus full of innocents explode I can't help but see Americas future, and wonder what it will take (if it's even possible) to prevent similar widespread incidents here.

The bastards are already here. Our porous borders are no greater impediment than exists in Chechnya. Freighter class to Mexico and a stroll into TX.

Tick-tock.

Apologies for the drift... Just my initial reaction to the OP's video.

Even in autocratic dictatorships, terrorism attacks happen. If you can't keep a lid on that with an army of secret police and the absence of due process, we don't stand a chance of doing so ourselves.

May as well skip the pretense, and trust that the right citizen with the right mindset and the right gun will be there when someone yells Allahu Ackbar. It worked out well enough for 100 odd Kenyan shoppers.

Interpol Chief Ponders 'Armed Citizenry' (http://abcnews.go.com/Blotter/exclusive-westgate-interpol-chief-ponders-armed-citizenry/story?id=20637341)

Noble said there are really only two choices for protecting open societies from attacks like the one on Westgate mall where so-called "soft targets" are hit: either create secure perimeters around the locations or allow civilians to carry their own guns to protect themselves.
... snip ...
"Ask yourself: If that was Denver, Col., if that was Texas, would those guys have been able to spend hours, days, shooting people randomly?" Noble said, referring to states with pro-gun traditions. "What I'm saying is it makes police around the world question their views on gun control. It makes citizens question their views on gun control. You have to ask yourself, 'Is an armed citizenry more necessary now than it was in the past with an evolving threat of terrorism?' This is something that has to be discussed."

My gun is pretty useless against a homicide bomber, but might be useful in a mall attack.
