Works fine for me using Wolf on my new Gen4 G17. No BTF (Brass To Face). Shot the last KSTG match using the combo.

It worked for me in one g4 and the other one made the extractor too tight. It is definitely interesting to me seeing how different the extractor tension is between all my glocks.

I've found the HRED and Apex combo to work well on a couple of problematic late production Gen 3 G19s. With this combo and the newer style ejector they both pass the 1911 ejection test and seem to run well(I only have about 500 rounds through each one).

I ordered the Apex extractor, Gen4 trigger housing(for 30274 ejector), non-LCI spring loaded bearing, and White Sound HRED for a Gen3 G19. They were all from different vendors so they trickled in. I installed the Apex FRE and 30274 ejector before the other stuff arrived and was pleased to find that this combo gave me strong, consistent ejection to my 3:30-4:00; even went 5/5 on the "1911 test). As long as it continues to run this way I'll just leave the other parts in their bins.

While at Pat Rogers' carbine course a couple of days ago a friend who was at the class had issues with both his gen 4 G17 and gen 3 G26. We swapped parts around until we got the gen 4 working, which was fortuitous since he carries that gun at work.

Ended up using a Glock OEM LCI extractor made in 2006 that I had in my stash, and a 30274 ejector, on the gen 4 and it started running really well. Previously it ran but had lots of BTF ejections. Now it runs with Winchester 127gr Ranger-T, Speer 124gr +P Gold Dot and Mag Tech 115gr ball.

Nothing we did got the G26 running right so I told him he really needed to send it in to Glock and make them make it right. He's young and getting married in a few months so bills are tight, he could probably play with Apex and HRED parts, but why should he have to?

I have an HRED in my M series G19 that gave me so many issues awhile back, paired up with another 2006 make extractor. That gun runs well now, but I would like to try an Apex part and see what happens. It currently will not pass the 1911 no magazine test.

Great, no more BTTF and still no malfunctions.

My experience has been specifically with glock 19s and more specifically with the guns that are double feeding. Hred and apex extractor seems to have given enough tension to fix that. On my guns only experiencing stove pipes and btf it seems to make it too tight

Pistol passed the test where you fire one round without a magazine inserted.

I have an RTF2 G19 that had gone about 1600 rds, with no problems but it would not pass this extractor test. So I got curious and put a Gen 3 Apex extractor and plunger spring in it. It's now at 2100 rounds, still runs fine. It will eject 20 for 20 now with the magazine removed. But in normal shooting with a magazine the ejection pattern is not particularly consistent either. Some arc out a long way 4-5 feet, some just maybe two feet. Glocks are weird like that. I have a couple of the Gen 4 Apex parts in my tool box because Gen 4s are all my sons prefer and own and I get nervous someday those extractors could go tits up some day.

My M prefix G19 was like tpd223's. Mine now runs fine with Non-LCI SLP, 30274 ejector and Apex's Gen3 extractor and extractor spring. None of my Glocks of any generation will pass the 1911 test with factory extractor, only the previously BTFing M prefix G19 with Apex extractor.

Has anyone fit their Apex extractor per their website instructions?

Last week a friend's two M series Glocks, a gen 4 G17 and a gen 3 G26, were having rather serious issues, including in-line "stovepipes" and BTF. Working the parts around we got the G17 running with a 2006 make LCI extractor I had in my parts stash and one of the new ejectors. The G26 we couldn't getting running right no matter what we did so it's headed back to Glock.
