Found this on another website, entirely new ballistic testing concept to me, I am sold.
DocGKR, I hope your ballistic gelatin is good to make jello or something, it is a thing of a past now. Italicized by me.

There will allways be an argument as to which is better 9mm or .45acp.I have allways considered the 45 better for self defense,but my girlfriend bought me one of those hard rubber orange balls for xmas.When i shoot it with .45 it wil jump and roll much farther than with the 9mm even with a 9mm carbine the .45 moves the ball more.I can roll it out to 75 or 80 yrds and the .45 is still rolling it but the 9mm sometimes i know i hit it but you don't see it move. Just an observation, for me i am sticking with the .45.

In the event an attack by orange rubber balls is imminent, I'll have to make due with my 9mm handguns. I hope to survive such an encounter.:cool:

I'm training my dogs to assist for when I get attacked by rubber balls;

Such a puny round,that.

I'll take the GAU-28 and the Fairchild A10 built around it.

BTW,anyone know who sells depleted uranium hollowpoints? It might be an overpenetration risk with FMJ.

A .45ACP will take your arm off with one shot (http://pistol-training.com/articles/how-i-got-shot).

Waste of band width.

I once had an FBI SWAT guy tell me they selected .45 because it "knocks over steel on the plate rack even with a near miss." The agency's 9mm and .40-cal guns apparently required actual hits. Definite win for the .45 there.

Audi contraire! The senior military cartridge, 9x19 was designed to be carried by the gentleman officers of continental armies, not the petit bourgeoise officers and armed shopkeepers equipped with the .45ACP.

Sometimes when my son kicks a ball it goes a long way. Sometimes it even goes in the air. Sounds like he would make a good projectile, based on this clowns "logic"

Well, clearly someone shot the plane and caused it to tip over. This is a clear example of why 10mm is the only round that should be carried ;)

Although I know it's not how it happened, I picture a frownie-faced F-16 pilot remaining perfectly perpendicular to the seat at the plane slowly tilts over.
