Volquartsen Scorpion

I am in the market for a lightweight 22lr pistol. I have an AMT automag II and, well
not exactly the most reliable thing in the safe. I am looking at putting together a Volquartsen
LLV upper and lower, a little cheaper than the the Scorpion. So my question is, how reliable
is this pistol, I know it's based on a Ruger Mark III. I am looking for a lightweight pistol
but not real crazy about the 22/45 lite.

If you can find an LLV upper and a Mark II lower, you will end up with a fine and reliable (albeit expensive) .22 pistol. The issue is finding the LLV upper. Most places have been out of stock for a very long time, including Brownells.
