I have been looking at this holster for a while. I cannot find a really good review on it. I wanted to know if anyone is using this holster and what they think of it.

Thanks

Most folks here either use Safariland or custom rigs like Dar Star Gear or JM Custom.

I got one some years back. Took them a few tries to get it right (couldn't get he length correct or a Glock). Haven't worn it or a few years since I discovered appendix carry. OWB, kydex, Blade Tech and concealment seems an oxymoron.

In the colder months, I use an eclipse for carry since I can OWB carry and never take my fleece vest off. It's a great choice for OWB carry.

I saw one in the wild this week and for an M&P45 no less. I already have OWB covered with both Safariland and Talon Tactical or I probably would have bought it for the gun games.

I've been a leather guy for a long time.

Back in 2007 I tried a Blade tech Kydex IWB with a SD and pull dot loops. also has a generous sweat guard.

I've been sold on this holster. Bad News Blade Tech wont make them anymore in favor of the thinner kydex NANO IWB.

I know the original inquiry was about the Eclipse holster, but there are plenty of people who use Blade-Tech holsters. Since the Nano was mentioned, I'll add: The Nano model has proven to be by far the most comfortable IWB holster (Kydex or leather) that I have ever tried, and I have tried a lot of them. I can wear one all day with no discomfort whatsoever, in Phoenix, AZ weather, and I'm not a HSLD lean guy by any stretch of the imagination!

As soon as I can get the cash I will get one for my P30S

I just like the thicker kydex other than that its about the same except the space between loops

I had some questions about the Nano too. You answered any questions I had. Thank for the input.

Recoil magazine (Issue #8 - AR-10 on the cover) has coverage about the recent Mike Pannone Cover Carry Class (http://pistol-forum.com/showthread.php?9025-AAR-Mike-Pannone-2-day-quot-Covert-Carry-quot-Pistol-class-06-07-July-2013-(Waterman-IL)), which describes Mike's gear. Mike used that holster with a CZ. Looked like an OWB that was easy-on-easy-off without being a paddle. Carried high and tight - he seemed to do well enough with it.

I am also interested in the Eclipse. I have a thread here asking about it currently adjacent to this thread.

Nano - I do have and use a Blade-Tech IWB Nano for an XDm 3.8. Great holster, totally satisfied, no retention problems even when chasing my dog at full tilt. My father is a traditional leather guy and I converted him to a Nano for his Colt Commander and then he bought one on his own for an XDs. He says they are the most comfortable holsters he owns.

That being said, for my G17 I'm strongly leaning toward the PerSecSystems standard holster as described in the thread I referred to at the beginning.

happy shooting, dv

When IF they make the Eclipise for a P30 with WML I might buy one or a Phantom

I did order a NANO today along with 1 spare P30 9mm mag

I wish I could afford a few more mags.

My experience with Blade-Tech was with their UCH (Ultimate Concealment Holster)

And if I was still carrying strong side hip, I'd still be using that holster with some moleskin stuck to it.

One of these days I'll convince Mrs. Drang to take a trip down to Puyallup and verify the RUMINT that Bladetech will make her a custom holster for her Firestar...

I got my permit in 1983 so I was a leather guy like your father.! Until I bought a blade tech IWB (discontinued)

I'm sold on kydex .

For IWB carry I will only use Pull Dot Loops. Ive had problems with hooks clips etc!
I also stay away from tucking shirt in type holsters

Got my NANO yesterday. Its okay but the older BT IWB is more comfortable because how the sweat guard is design.
