I have a mitch rosen IWB I got for my P229 SAS for half price due to a sitch issue from and I have a Safariland 6360 for my battlebelt now I need a OWB holster for my P229 non rail. I am going camping (again) and I will be carrying the P229 because I got rid of my "bad" P226 40sw do to issues with the slide not staying open on last shot. Also the SAS gen 2 is just nice.

We will be off the trail a bit and I am waiting on a guy with a Raven that he has to get back to me but other than that I would like an option that will not cost an arm and a leg for a belt holster. I can get the Desantis Leather Holster for 35.00 plus shipping the FAM Holster so any holster and any kydex holster OWB would be preferable.

Personal Security Holsters

Send him an e-mail and ask if his 229 can be done sans rail.

What about a Blackhawk Serpa? They make one for the non-railed 228/229. I have one and it is a great little OWB holster.

What about a Blackhawk Serpa? ... it is a great little OWB holster. You won't find many folks to agree with you. They have a number of issues and I'd recommend you look elsewhere. The shortcomings are covered in this thread:

DocGKR coined a great phrase during class this weekend when a student was struggling to free his pistol from a SERPA under some time stress:

"serpadeath"

Excellent.

I've never had any of those problems, but I guess I could. Therfore, if it can happen, it will happen. Consider me deserpatized. I only ever used them while hunting anyways. Never carried with it. Well then I will recommend my personal favorite OWB, the Galco Combat Master.

I would recommend Personal Security Systems holsters and of course Raven Concealment. As a side note and I know you said "belt holster", but take a look into the The Kit Bag from Hill People Gear. I find that I'm using it more and more with my outdoor adventures and it works well with my backpacks and lumbar type packs. Just a thought, not trying to get off topic.
