Or I suppose, more accurately, what was it?
A friend of mine and his dad found this while digging a garden near Texarkana. Looks like it would have been interesting.
I can't tell if that barrel assembly rotated. Also doesn't seem to have been a way to access the breach, so I'm assuming a muzzle loader. (If not merely a decorative piece.)
I did a few google searches for "four barrel gun," and variants on that theme. I didn't find anything. I figured if anybody would know, they'd be on this board.

The construction is intriguing. It's hard to tell due to the condition and the angles, but it appears to be a sidehammer percussion gun with a single nipple? What the kitten?

Can we get more pics from the top and the other side?

Sorry, no. This guy used to work for me, but left about a year ago. I was just moving some photos over to my wife's lap top and ran across these. If I can reach him I'll tell him what you guys think it is and see if I can get more pics.
