This is the second time I've seen reporting with video of this type of event with the same testing media product. I have not seen a good explanation yet. The first was documented at http://mousegunaddict.blogspot.com/2013/02/terminal-ballistics-testing-update.html.

I would very much like to understand this one. I like the visuals from clear gel testing, but if there are phenomena here that are not explained I am concerned about integrity of the test data from this type of gel versus the classic Knox type. At the very least, it would seem that the temporary stretch cavity may see bias, if not penetration shifts (as disrupted gel is easier to penetrate, or as the explosive event retards momentum of the projectile in the tissue simulant.... depending on where the explosive effects are manifest in the bullet's passage.)

It was the red tip on the leverevolution... red means explosive.
