Getting a grip reduction, stippling, speedwell and a couple other minor things done. I'll post pic's in a few weeks when it gets back.

Posting teasers like this just isn't fair...

Can't say enough good things about Cold Bore... Lane Owens work is amazing. His prices and turnaround times are unmatched. He worked on my Gen3 G19 and G34... Both of which turned out great!

Got my frame back yesterday. Lane's work is outstanding. Haven't shot it yet though. Here's a couple quick pic's.

Looks good -- can you post a photo showing the speed well?

Very nice, I'm looking at having the same done.

If you don't mind me asking, what was the approx. turnaround time and cost?

Thanks for posting the mag well photo! Do you think it is appreciably better than a Glockmeister grip plug?

Around 8 weeks. Grip reduction with 360 stippling, undercutting and rounding the trigger guard, finger groove removal and the mag release cut came out to around $230 with return shipping.

Haven't had a chance to put it on a timer, just a little dry fire. It'll be a week before I can get out and shoot it. I do feel it's a little deeper and easier to hit at speed than the plug. Would I pay to ship a frame out just for the speedwell? No. But if I was sending it out for any other work, IMO it's a no brainer to have it done.

I've had Lane do about ten Glocks & M&Ps for me & my customers. I used to be able to send him a frame on Monday & have it back by Friday, then the rest of you guys learned about him! He always does a great job.

Looking good! How do you like that holster?

The regular OWB from JM is my favorite OWB holster. This one works well and conceals pretty good, i've only worn it a couple times as I just got it and don't carry with a light all the time. Just wanted the option for walking the dog's at night or going out after dark.

Planning on sending my G21 to Lane when I return from overseas to get some work done.

Im debating on whether I should get a grip reduction done or not.

Im pretty handy with my G21, its actually my favorite pistol. Im also a 1911 fanatic. Id hate to "ruin" the pistol ive grown to enjoy so much... But id hate to regret not doing it down the road.

Other work im considering:

Speed-well
Keeping finger grooves
Mag release relief
Tactical stippling (its not a carry gun)
I was going to get the trigger guard undercut but my Surefire DG switch wont fit properly afterward and i'd probably end up having to remove the finger grooves also...

Assuming we get this formula down, my daily G36 with its mags will be headed over to Lane as well

I had a Raven OWB for my G21 X300 and returned it... Planning on ordering a JM OWB for it after my AIWB G36 holster comes in...

Between JM, Cold Bore and ATEi, my wallet will take some time to recover :-(
