Of all the places I have contemplated keeping a spare mag never once did I consider the oven. Genius!!!

ST. PETERSBURG — A young woman trying to make an evening snack ended up at the hospital Monday night after a round of ammunition exploded inside an oven, police said.

Eighteen-year-old Aalaya Walker just wanted some waffles.

What she didn't know was that her friend Javarski "JJ" Sandy, 25, had placed a magazine from his .45-caliber Glock 21 in the oven. It's unclear why he would do that.

Dang it now I want some waffles....

Well, you've got to get those holes in the waffels somehow.

Looks more like a P2000. That swell on the frontstrap gives it away; the HK45 has finger grooves.

That appears to be a P2000 slide release.

I love this place. you guys are almost as much fun as the HKPro people.

what a horrible thing to do to a wonderful firearm. why couldn't have been a Hi-Point or even better a Glock? then again the Hi-Point would have suffered no damage. :p

It was a P-2000. Agent put it in the oven as a hiding place due to concern over recent break -ins, his wife then turned on oven, not knowing the weapon was in there....... Dear Chief, No one was more surprised than i when ....

Of course anyone who has seen the original Shaft knows you keep your gun in the freezer ...;)
