I am fairly new to reloading and don't have "usual" places I buy from. I'm not in desperate need of any components, but primers are my shortest commodity. I am also well aware of the shortages across the board. For those of you that do reload, are you familiar with anyone who is "in-stock" on Federal small and large pistol primers? If not, any sites/stores to watch that tend to get in-stock quickly? A Google search turned up nothing but empty shelves.

Powder Valley has good prices, but when you add in shipping and hazmat...

Prices have slightly gone up over the years, but not by much.

Powder Valley is out of stock on all small pistol primers and is no longer taking backorders. Their prices are good enough that you don't have to order much to offset the cost of shipping/hazmat.

We may be in trouble in terms of primer supply for quite some time because the ammo mfrs are putting all of their primer capacity into making full rounds. Reloaders are not at the top of their priority scale.

If you're willing to pay panic prices, gunbroker has several auctions for 1K small pistol primers for around $80 + shipping.

I'm out of small pistol primers and down to about 100 large pistol primers. After that, I'll be shooting .22 until I'm completely out of ammo or things return to normal. Good luck and let me know if you find primers anywhere.
