Last year a gun blogger was shooting a series of matches with a High Point as a test.
I can't remember who it was.

I sent it via PM, but I would gladly make (and donate) a holster and mag pouch if the funds were raised for a victim to do the test.

The ammo would actually cost about 4x what the gun does. :cool:

Heh, I started to say I'd be willing to kick in a few bucks toward making it happen, but didn't want to be presumptive. ;)

It was Chris Rhines (The Way of the Multigun (http://multigun.wordpress.com/)). He is a member here (http://pistol-forum.com/member.php?47-Chris-Rhines). That is, indeed, my blog, but the Hi-Point challenge was/is entirely the brainchild of my co-blogger Justin. He was talking shit on the Hi-Point, and one of the big distributors offered to send him one for evaluation. The rest is history.

I've sent Justin a link to this thread. I bet he could be convinced to do a 2K round challenge...

I remember the "Hi Point Throwdown", both Justin and ToddG posted about it on their blogs but I guess Justin got busy and never finished it.

My curiosity is peaked but I would never own one for a myriad of reasons.

If orionz throws in the kydex, and if y'all can round up the 2K rounds, I'll buy a Hi Point, detail-strip for a thorough clean and lube, and document the shit out of a 2K challenge. I'll expect a long-ish report. ;)

Count me in as well for a couple boxes of my 124 grain reloads. Guaranteed to run as good as factory.
