Amongst all of the craziness, I may've missed a thread somewhere.

But I wanted to check in on our dear friend, forum founder and wise one in the ways of the pistol as he's going through all of this.

You're in our prayers Todd. I just noticed he's gone off the radar (understandably so) and I wanted to see if anything had come to the surface. Whatever with the gun grabbers, that's status quo drama going on for how many decades now, he's been on my heart lately.

Hope all is well,

God bless,

Brandon.

I remember the first time I met TLG, quite fond of it actually.

It was the first time really shooting with my dad, first time at the NRA Range, first time to have lunch with 3 FAST Coin holders (and ohh my God at Chilis too), first time to experience the sarcasm of the great TLG.

Here's to the second times...thinking of you Todd. Reload and get back in the fight right the F now.

I love my bickering like old women time with Todd. I find it weird saying that I really missed him at SHOT this year as it is the one time when we get some face time every year. On the other hand, having spent a solid five years of my life with my wife while she battled cancer till her death, I understand that fighting cancer is simply a very lonely fight that takes place behind closed doors with complete and total focus. I pray for Todd often, and hope that he is responding to treatment and will be back with vigor in the coming months.

I've thought about Todd quite a bit since I read about his health issue. I can't think of another person who has offered as much useful information over the years as Todd has. I've kept track of his thoughts from the Beretta-L days, through Pistol-forum, and everything in-between. I recommend his blog to almost every shooter I meet.

I had a chance to meet Todd at shot show years ago (he asked me to spell choleric :)).

Get well soon by brother. My prayer is for you and your dear wife.

God Bless,
David

I liked that.

Reminded of when I was a kid living in Florida, probably about five years old, there was a hurricane warning. My Mom came into the living room to tell me and I said "Why don't they just shoot it?" I obviously had no idea what a hurricane was.

Get well soon Todd.

ALL -- I just wanted to say thank you sincerely for all the well wishes. I've received over 400 emails plus calls, texts, and even some snail mail letters over the past two months. It's definitely made an otherwise frustrating and boring time much more tolerable.

I'm finally back on my feet (literally). Next week I get a scan and should know on Thursday whether the treatment was successful or not. Either way, we have a plan in place for the next step and I'm confident this will be little more than a memory -- and a speed bump in my training schedule! -- sooner rather than later.

Again, thanks to everyone for all the support, prayers, and thoughts over the past couple of months.

Just reading through the old archives. I read through the Glock and SACS 1911 torture tests this week.

Still working through the Glock. I pray our friend is doing well. His writing style and natural curiosity / drive to improve himself and firearms whether it be guns, gear, practice, drills, technique or being a student in other instructor's classes was always enthusiastic and good natured. He is a great student/instructor with a solid attitude.

I feel like Red in Shawshank Redemption, I never met or shot with Todd. But I certainly feel like I know him. I guess I just miss my friend.

I'm not as close with Todd as many on this forum, but I think about Todd every time I click on this Tapatalk app. When I check the timeline, I wonder if he's randomly posted somewhere. It's like stopping by a friend's house only to find that he's on vacation and you feel foolish for forgetting he's away. It still doesn't stop me from frequently knocking on the door hoping I'm wrong. And the company at his door makes the time go by a little easier. I miss you, Todd.

Thank you for what you taught me about shooting guns, and thank you for the laughs.

Cancer should be treated like the last four shots of a FAST.

So I was reading this the other day:

http://www.theguardian.com/books/2013/may/19/daniel-dennett-intuition-pumps-thinking-extract

Daniel Dennett's seven tools for thinking: Cognitive scientist and philosopher Daniel Dennett is one of America's foremost thinkers. In this extract from his new book, he reveals some of the lessons life has taught him

Mr Denett states (correctly in my opinion) that "Sturgeon's law is usually expressed thus: 90% of everything is crap" and "A good moral to draw from this observation is that when you want to criticise a field, a genre, a discipline, an art form …don't waste your time and ours hooting at the crap! Go after the good stuff or leave it alone"

Being the gun geek I am, the first thing that came to mind was the signal to noise ratio here at PF.

Todd, thanks for the 10%, thanks for the good stuff. Get well. We need you back.

Not to bump this thread unnecessarily.

However, I've noticed it seems that Todd left on uncertain terms. I certainly want to respect his privacy, but wish him well. I think the signal to noise ratio on the internet got a little too noisey, and he checked out.

Since this is the only access I've ever had to Todd; I thought I'd just leave my acknowledgement, gratitude, and remarks here.

I wish you the best. You left a remarkable impact on me (more so than anyone else I can think of), my views on guns (and decisions about which to purchase, etc), and my desire to evaluate and pursue new techniques and technology on the market.

You will be missed, but at the same time. I'd rather rest knowing you're out there enjoying life, and God knows you've fought hard enough to keep it these last few years.

God Bless and I wish you the best,

Brandon

P.S. If you do come back, just as well, but if you don't; I completely understand.

I hear that all the time. FB is a succubus (or incubus if you're female.) I've resisted so far, and I refuse to give in.

It's a conspiracy! First Facebook tells me I must upload digitized copies of government-issued photo ID "to confirm my identity", and then Fun Stuff breaks out!
