To give you an idea of the response to gun issues in our county:
126 Georgia Weapons Carry License (GWCL) background checks have been processed so far in January. We processed 102 in December, 49 in November, 57 in October, and 30 in September. Most months run closer to 30.
Our population is roughly 32K and is mostly suburban/rural with 186 square miles of land area. Several of our neighboring counties have two to three times our population.
