Aimpoint 9000sc

Anyone ever used one of these? Opinions? I also see they had a 2x magnified version at some point.

My BIL has one atop a Ruger 10/22 and it looked pretty good. I was thinking of picking one up but have no idea what I'd put it on ... 10/22, M&P15-22, Colt 6940LE, other?

My only experience with red dots is the Aimpoint Micro I have on an AR. It's fantastic.

I have had a couple. Wish I had not sold them. I believe that they are essentially an ML3 ( non-night vision compatible version of the M3 which was an upgraded M2) with a body optimized to use with the dual ring system common to most rifles (or handguns where appropriate).

I have one on a FAL. No issues, works well, though it's a low round count right now.
