Both are charcoal blued, but the TSG has a non-standard prep from Wilson. The finish is designed to look just like rust bluing, and accordingly is a much smoother, softer bead blast prep (lower pressure in the cabinet and a finer glass bead). Very pleased with the results actually. The Tactical Elite is actually more grey in color, whereas the TSG is darker.

If all my 10mm ammo wasn't grossly over pressure, there'd be a 1k report on both of these right now. :( Oh, well, going to be converting a 1050 today.

Those are some beautiful pistols. You certainly have a fine collection of 1911s. Do you see any appreciable difference in the pistols' performance with the flanged barrel as compared to the traditional bushing?

The heavy flanged barrel is definitely nice with the 10mm. Makes it a bit muzzle heavy, but splits do go down.
