The once fired cases at the top show pressure signs in the 50+ksi range. The ones at the bottom are known to be in the 30ksi range.

The ones at the top were new "factory" ammunition from a small shop. My recommendation, shoot 10mm ammo loaded "fast" very carefully. 155g should be about 1350fps. If it's at 1500fps, it's likely dangerous. Shoot these in G20s at your own risk.

You can establish my bona fides on this subject by googlescholar'ing "metastable intermolecular composites aluminum." I'm a few pages in.

Those are some ugly-looking cases.

Did you chrono them? The variability in pressure signs doesn't speak well for consistency, either.

This kidnapping of the chambering by hot-rodders is one of the reasons I fell out of love with 10mm (that, and it's become such a hipster caliber, anyway. :p )

If I can't do it with 9mm or .45, I'll fetch my 629.
