I experienced something today, with a non OEM barrel in a G5 19, that I wanted to share.
Lately, I have incorporated shooting a B8 freestyle at 25 yards, into nearly every one of my practice sessions. Freestyle group shooting is a perishable skill, that I want to maintain, and the process of shooting a B8 is also an excellent check on my ammo, the pistol, and the optic. I shoot a B8 with a number of my competition and EDC Glock pistols, so I get to see a number of different pistols. My experience is that the OEM barrels shoot very well, and are capable of keeping ten out of ten shots in the black at 25, as long as I am doing my part. There may be some slight variation depending on how good my trigger press is on any day, how an individual trigger is, but the difference is an all black group, and a group much smaller.
For reference, the first thing I did yesterday was to shoot a 25 yard group with a G47 and Lawman 124. This was the group.

Part way through my practice, I shot a 25 yard group with a G5 19 that had a Mayhem Syndicate barrel and comp. I pressed the trigger as I normally do, went down and saw a surprisingly crappy group. I repeated with another ten rounds, and got an almost identical group, with three rounds in the 7 ring.

I disassembled my carry 19, pulled the OEM Marksman barrel, installed it in place of the barrel/comp, and shot a few groups. Now the pistol shot into the black as I am used to seeing.
Given how well the OEM G5 Marksman barrels shoot, I am really questioning using anything but an OEM barrel in a Gen 5 Glock.
