I don't really shoot rifles anymore, I don't particularly care for the way bullpups balance but I'm still slightly intrigued by the RDB. So this video was timely.

Never been a bullpup guy either but I’ve been intrigued by these as a suppressor host range toy. Picked up an RDB defender and have been out with it a couple of times. Same length as an 11.5” AR but RDB weighs a pound more.

Only mod since the pic was a Dan Haga magwell & an optic.

Suppresses nicely and balanced pretty well with a 9oz titanium Liberty Infinity X.
Will see how I like it after a few more range days.

Read up on JCN posts about it.

Found it. https://pistol-forum.com/showthread.php?50476-JCN-reviews-the-RDB-S

And you should totally buy a trek-22 chassis for a 10/22 too.

That was my gateway to the RDB.

Ha, I actually pulled that thread back up before posting the video because I'd remembered asking him abut the RDB and RDB-S! I just didn't remember it being that long ago. :D

A Trek chassis isn't off the table but I've used up most of my "spare" 10/22 parts. They've released a full rifle though so I may end up going that way instead of scrounging parts on the cheap for a build.

What is the LOP?
That's been my biggest hangup with bullpups. KT's site doesn't specify.

On the defender it’s around 13.5” collapsed and 15.5” extended. No idea what Sasquatch they designed that around.

Presumably just to rule book the ATF about OAL being measured with adjustable stocks extended.

The standard RDB has a fixed 13” length of pull.
It feels about perfect in normal use.
With a parka or body armor on it might be a little long.
The haga defense buttplate extends the lop a bit but is quite a bit more robust then the slip over rubber butt pad from the factory that has a habit of slipping off or getting damaged.
