Good Options for Tikka Scope Rings

What scope rings work well for the Tikka models without pic rails - such as the Lite, the laminated stainless, etc.? Just direct mounted to the grooved top?

Warne Maxima?

Sako/Tikka Optilock?

Also - any advice on what height rings for something like a 1” scope, with 40mm objective? Low?

Am still trying to decide on 1” vs 30mm tube. Would that change the ring height requirement?

I have Talley medium one piece ring/mounts on three of my T3x's, all with adjustable objectives scopes with fairly sizeable objectives, and Leupold Rifleman (IIRC) medium one piece ring/mounts on my 270 T3x, also with a fairly large objective. No issues with any combination.

I've had good luck with Warne as well as Talley.

Warne has (or at least used to) a place on their website which shows the correct size for your specifics. Talley doesn't, but you can email them and they are quick to reply.

Sportsmans also has a base/ring chooser for rifles.

Yes. Upgrade the screws as described in my link above if you use them.

The internet seems to hate vertically split rings. Not 100% sure on why, but there's enough noise I'm not going to mess with them when there are readily available alternatives that are tailor made for Tikkas.

Sportsmatch Tikka mounts that have the recoil pin have been good to me. 65 in/lbs to the action rail and 25 in/lbs for the rings, and no loss of zero on some tumbles during hunts.

Sportsmatch seems to be what the hivemind at Rokslide prefer; I also like the Mtn Tac Raptor one-piece. I know SLG also has a few on his Tikkas.

The T3x Compact that I bought last December did not include rings. I'll let you know about the T3 Lite Stainless that I pick this weekend.

None of mine came with rings, four T3x's and a T1x.

I looked at a T3x stainless in a shop and it did not have rings, either.
