Nice, now I feel less bad about about letting mine go.

Nice. I really like the shape of these grips.
Would like them a lot better if they were rubber...

I have a 432UC and the grips are a bug step up from the stock rubber grips that Smith usually includes. My friend did notice that the extra weight in the grips made the gun feel a little top heavy in the holster. My plan is to sell mine to offset the cost of the Hamre AFR grips which look a bit better to me while also being lighter.

Is there some pics with them mounted on a j frame?

Pretty much all the pics in the UC thread (https://pistol-forum.com/showthread.php?59468-New-revolvers-at-SHOT-Lipsey-s-release&p=1621838&viewfull=1#post1621838). Until now they were only available as a factory option on those 4 SKUs.

I bought a set of takeoffs in black cherry a while ago, and really like them on my 442.

How do these compare to the Uncle Mikes boot grip?

Rusty, they are THICKER front-to-back & side-to-side than the UM Boots--For me, the additional thickness front to back is a welcome change, as it positions my Trigger Finger almost perfectly on the "Go Switch", but I wish they were just a fuzz NARROWER side-to-side & that they extended about 3/4" BELOW the bottom of the Frame--Then I could get ALL my fingers comfortably on the Stocks...

That makes a lot of sense. Guess I need to get my hands on a UC

LOVE these grips on my 632 UC. My favorite J frame grip. Just ordered them for my 340 M&P. THANKS much for posting the info and link.

Took a while, but my order arrived. Bottom line up front: these are winners and I'm glad I got them.
I'm a big fan of VZ's Standard J-frame grips and prefer them on the 1-7/8" barreled Js, steel and aluminum; in my hand they are "right sized" all around. But on a steel 2-1/8" J their smallness leaves balance and feel a little off.
As a half-remedy I opted for VZ's Wrap Around grip, but 1) it doesn't come in diamond checkering (preferred) and more importantly 2) the little ledge created between the top of the grip's back strap and the Centennial frame is an ergonomic nuisance for high hold.
The High Horns remedy this, and their slightly greater mass bring the 2-1/8" steel J back into balance in my hand, while also trimming profile back to boot grip length compared to the Wrap Arounds.
Haven't put rounds through with them yet, but thus far a win combining the best of the Standards and Wrap Arounds.
Small note: every time I've ordered from VZ they ship pretty fast. Not this time. My email receipt noted VZ may take up to 14 working days to ship products not in stock, though these were listed in stock when I ordered. I got the shipping notice at exactly 14 working days -- three weeks, in effect, and a little less than a week after that to my door. No biggie, but FYI if you're used to about a week's turnaround usually.
