Benelli Lupo

Anyone have experience with the Benelli Lupo? Saw a few posts from a few years ago. Looked like SteveB was impressed circa 2020 & GJM was ordering based on his recommendation. Wondering if early adopters were pleased or disappointed and any other relevant info. Thanks all.

I had one a few years ago in 30-06.

It was surprisingly accurate. It easily shot better groups than a Win 70 (new model) and a Weatherby Vanguard, both 30-06. The Benelli stock tamed the recoil well.

It was a bit old school. Sling studs instead of QD cups, and a rounded fore end. While comfortable, the stock felt a little cheap.

Ended up selling it because I needed to clear out some guns and I was looking in the safe and right next to it on one side was a 308, semi custom which shoots lights out, and on the other side was a 300 Winchester magnum also semi-custom which also shoots lights out. Couldn't figure when I would choose the 06 over either of those two.

This discount is what had me curious https://www.basspro.com/shop/en/benelli-lupo-kaos-limited-edition-bolt-action-rifle. Seems pretty substantial reduction but I have several other things also looking at so didn’t want to jump on the discount unless heard really good things.
