Benelli M4 Light options

Hey guys,


I have a Benelli M4 With a GG&G light mount, and like all GG&G stuff it is...OK. I used to have o IWC scout mount which I stupidly left on my old M$ that I traded for my LE model. Well, is there anything else out there worth a flip? I really don't want to swap to a MLOCK hand guard because I am a fan of plastic hand guards on my shotgun for various reasons. I gather the guy behind IWC has passed. Any chance someone has taken over at IWC or maybe someone else will make the design? Any other good options?

The owner of IWC died unexpectedly.

The family shut down direct sales on the website, but they have posted that they are currently operating but fulfilling dealer orders only.

It seems a little premature to be ripping off their intellectual property.

With respect to the late Earl,
It's been over a year and the only orders that I am aware they are fulfilling are the sling mounts through relabeled Ferro concepts.
Other than that, 95% of their other products are no longer produced nor are they available through any dealers.

Hopefully, somebody will reach out to the family and buy or license some of their designs to be reproduced.

IWC has an address moved from Colorado to California. No one seems to be able to get a hold of a single person associated with IWC. No emails, phone calls, snail mail, in person visits have been effective. At this point their claim to be delivering to dealers is dubious. I understand they lost the owner and apparent driving force. It is unfortunate that the company was not properly managed such that the death of a single person resulted in an abrupt end.

I know you said you didn't want a forend, but the Midwest Industries one works great on my MAC 1014 Clone. Very secure with plenty of MLok mounting options. Available at Brownells for $152.99. Hope this helps.

Today I was contacted by Mounting Solutions Plus (MSP) out of Miami FL, which was one of IWC's dealers, regarding an old order I had placed for several of the IWC QD sockets for Magpul MOE and GI M-4 stocks.

In short MSP has contracted with the original machine shop which was apparently making items for IWC. They will be making at least some of the old IWC items to fill back orders including my QD sockets (currently available) and the Benelli M-4 shotgun light mounts which are coming "soon." They did advise the initial production would be going to back orders and it might be sometime before the M-4 light mounts were available for new orders.

I could make a similar design and produce them but I need an actual mount to take some measurements. Apparently it’s impossible to find. If anyone would consider selling or borrowing one, I could work on it. Or scan and send 3d model.

Even though I have M4 T Pro with aluminyum hand guards that allows picatinny rail inserts I also like polymer hand guards. Because they are much lighter :)

I went with Toni System (Italian brand) M4 polymer forend with mlok slots. It weighs only 92gr, all polymer with aluminum Mlok inserts.

Mlok inserts are in the worst possible way of course, so I had to use some sort of flashlight Mlok adaptor/extender to put the flashlight ip or forward so it wouldn’t interfere with my fingers. This is the closest I came to that works.118710 118711118712

MSP Scout Light Mount For Benelli M4 (https://www.mountsplus.com/msp-scout-light-mount-for-benelli-m4.html) which seems to be the same design as IWC scout mount is in stock. I ordered one and received email that item is shipped. No idea about the quality or fitment of the mount. I was afraid they will not ship it as there were reports about this website not delivering but item was shipped the next day.

I received my MSP IWC clone mount and it seems to be exactly the same as the IWC Mount. Mounted up a Streamlight HLX and it appears to be perfect. Remains to be seen how it holds up to recoil and use, but I'll report back when I can get to the range with it.

Don't forget to pull batteries when training unless you need the light, CR123s don't love 12ga recoil...

I ordered the MSP mount yesterday (website said it was in stock), but got an email today saying that it is not in stock and on backorder. I emailed them asking if they have an ETA.

GGG just came out with an M4 hand guard with Mlok slots at 3 and 9 o’clock.
