Once watched a Chinese movie where a PLAN naval group saved a bunch of their citizens as hostages in a Middle East terrorist group. Not a bad movie as a movie. Interestingly, IIRC, the Chinese commandos carried M-16 patterns. Got a lot of shots of a modern Chinese destroyer. Funny, when the destroyer was returning to China, it diverted to chase some USN destroyers out of Chinese waters.
