I d9 t normally like chassis style bolt guns, but I may have to get one of these.

Maybe in 6ARC or 6/6.5 Creedmoor...
Not in 308 though...

In 300 BLK, sure. Not .308.
Also, "Cross Trax" sounds like the name for an ATV, not a rifle.

It's a company that calls a whole line of AR-likes (re-)tread.

Strong chance I'll get one of these if my CZ 600 Trail sells. PA 5x micro prism optic on top and that's it, for a "carried lots, shot almost none" role.
The CZ's stock annoys me enough that it's on the chopping block. If I could take the telescoping stock off and add a folder, I'd roll with it.

Whatever happened to the idea of bringing out new calibers for the original Cross?

I think if you google barrels for sig cross, you will find after market caliber conversions.

This gun looks like a a backpacking bolt gun. Not sure how the comb height would fit me. This could be a scout rifle.

Thanks, wasn't aware of that.
Interesting that they offer a 260 version. Didn't think anyone was shooting that much anymore

That's really cool. .260 Rem is my favorite 6.5 caliber. I might even consider one, despite being gunshy of Sig.

That's roughly what I have in mind. PA 5x micro prism as the optic and done. Would be under 7lbs easily.

In .300 Blackout, I'd be very interested. In .308 I am not really interested.

It is a bolt gun, so you could spin up sup and sub loads that would be hard to distinguish from .300blk.

True, but I reload for .300BO, not .308. I have tons of components for .300BO and none for .308 aside from bullets. I know .300Blackout is a short yardage cartridge, but this is setup is also optimized for low weight.

Not terribly light, only in .308, ergonomics look awful for actually shooting. It is compact I guess. Seems like a pretty niche product.

Has anyone seen what the length of pull is on this thing? I was all set to order one and realized that it isn't listed on any of the websites/initial reviews I've seen.

Follow up on this, I bought one and got it set up. PA 5x Micro Prism, offset T1, 600 Pro Scout, SF flash hider.
Some notes/observations:
Accuracy wise it was about 2" with Swiss FMJ, which is about what I expected. Have not tried any match ammo through it.
Handguard is very slim in the hand, and requires even the shorter MLOK screws to be cut down so they don't touch the barrel.
Recoil without a can is sharp and painful. With the can on, it goes down to a moderate and reasonable level. Kind of expected this since it's such a light rifle.
The stock/cheek weld feels fine compared to the CZ600 Trail that I sold for this. Nothing like a precision shooting gun, but then, this is more of a light scout rifle so I'm okay with it.
It's going to get a rattle can paint job whenever I have a free afternoon.
I'd kind of like to get the barrel cut/pinned/welded with the flash hider to reduce the overall length, but I'm still debating if it would be worth the time and hassle.

These are very appealing to me, but realistically I have zero use for one. I also note only .308 is shown on the website at the moment.

Part of me really wants to get something like this and mount a 1-8 LPVO

If you don’t mind what is the length of pull?

According to my tape measure, just about 13".
