I am considering either a Glock 19 with a Deltapoint red dot sight or a Glock 19 with a Viridian C5 green laser. Since there is a wealth of experience and talent on this site, I would like to ask for input regarding the differences in shooter experience, technique, and outcomes between these two choices.
In anticipation that some may ask about the intended usage of this firearm/ sight combo, I would state that I like to use firearms for a great many things and not relegate them to single activities. If it would help in answering the question of this post, I would expect that the firearm/ sight combo would be used for informal target shooting, steel plate shooting, perhaps practical competition, plinking, home defense, etc.
Generally speaking though, I am interested to learn how shooter experience, technique, and outcomes vary between these two options.
