I've tried countless slings over the last few years, probably just from boredom.

I still think the Blue Force Gear VCAS is the best.

Can't speak to the Geissele sling, but 4-5 of my guns wear a VCAS and a couple wear a Lead Faucet Tactical sling (https://www.velsyst.com/collections/featured-products/products/lead-faucet-tactical-lft-rifle-sling?variant=42163361644759). I don't have as much time with the LFT, but on lighter a lighter gun like my house gun I'm starting to prefer it over the VCAS and will probably buy those for the last 2-3 rifles I'm going to finish up.

It's a good sling, and does what slings do. More like a magpul ms1 than a vtac or vcas.

A sling is a sling. Yeah some are better than others but I doubt one particular brand will knock your socks off. I say this as the owner of VCAS, V-Tac, Ferro Concepts Slingster, Frank Proctor and Otte Gear Keller slings.

I like the Sheriff of Baghdad B-Sling. I had been buying them with MASH hooks and having my wife remove them and replace with QD. In just now looking at his website, I don't see it offered any longer, only ones with the U-Loop or with the new MFQD sling attachments, I'm probably going to get one get time I need a sling.

When QD swivels were first repurposed from the sporting market to the tactical world, they retained the “swivel” loop attachment commonly used on rifles for the last 100 years. This movable bail swings like a bucket handle, and has been prone to failure under load and heavy use. If the movable bail loop fails, the release button will eject and will lose its ball bearings rendering the entire QD is useless. Shrek has seen this failure occur numerous times, and has separated the working systems to insure less failures by making it an unbreakable one piece. Additionally, when slinging a carbine to go hands-free and releasing positive control of the weapon, the weight and position of the weapon shifts and sags with the legacy design. This unwanted movement is greatly reduced by the MFQD.

Constructed from Billet 7075 T6 Aluminum and Milspec Anodized, the MFQD features a single, solid body construction that follows the profile of the weapon. The unique triangular shape is rounded and streamlined to reduce snags, and sits low to the weapon wherever attached. Internally, the MFQD features tempered stainless steel bearings and release spring for longevity, reliability and corrosion resistance.

What happened to the PiG SMS sling designed by SLG and formerly sold by SKD Tactical? That is my favorite sling.

If I had known they would be discontinued I would have bought half a dozen just to have them available.

Most of those sort of things are made in batches by third parties.

My understanding is they weren’t intentionally discontinued they just sold out. Another batch was discussed but apparently never happened.

There are a lot of quick adjust two point slings on the market. Most of them work fine.

I’ve used the Viking tactics, blue force Vickers, magpul, Edgar Sherman designs, Frank Proctor, etc - all work fine.

The Centerfuge training and Edgar Sherman designs slings have built in sling retention for when the sling is not in use but otherwise they work just like the rest.

I don't like metal fasteners or quick adjusts on my sling. I have the lead faucet and like it a lot. I would also consider the VTAC PES ULTRA LIGHT SLING W/PLASTIC BUCKLE if you wanted extra padding or the BFG GMT sling if you want no padding. I like the Lead Faucet as a compromise. the wider neck portion is very comfortable without adding any bulk.

The SOB sling looks pretty slick. I haven't used it but the idea that the quick adjust is in the front is very interesting.

The VCAS is good but kind of thick and bulky, I like the RB1 sling personally.

I like the VTAC over any of the other "quick adjust" slings due to the free tail allowing me to go tighter than VCAS usually allows. Also the VTAC adjusts quicker it seems.

I, too, prefer the longer adjustment range of the Viking Tactics sling. I'm less keen on the release though, as sometimes I find myself fumbling with it. I would like to find something with a similar adjustment range of the VTAC sling but with a more positive release, but so far haven't. (Not that I've tried a bunch of different slings - that would get quite expensive quite soon, and for not that much gain.)

Been using the Edgar Sherman Design slings on all my long arms. Lightweight and sturdy.
