I'm looking for a good MagSafe case and mount to use for a Pixel 7. There's not a lot of suitable real estate in my vehicle that's smooth enough for an adhesive base to stick well, so a vent mount looks to be the best option. I prefer the positioning there anyway, and I like the option of moving it from vehicle to vehicle relatively simply.

Based on some research and hands on experience with another wireless charging mount (iOttie (https://www.amazon.com/iOttie-Wireless-Charger-Charging-Smartphones/dp/B07X52DJ66/ref=sr_1_5?keywords=iottie+car+mount&qid=1689519664&sr=8-5) - PIA to use, does not fit the phone with the case and the vent mount is worthless) and my current case (Spigen Liquid Air (https://www.spigen.com/collections/pixel-7-series/products/pixel-7-case-liquid-air?variant=41031298809903) - great case for me and good value), I absolutely want to find a good MagSafe setup. The combination of the Peak Design Every Day Case (https://www.peakdesign.com/products/everyday-case-pixel) and Car Vent Mount (https://www.peakdesign.com/products/vent-mount) seems to be the best solution for doing that. It's pretty steep at $140 for the combo. I'm not too concerned about price if it works well, and Peak Design has a reasonable return policy, so I can take a flyer on it with little risk. But that's a hassle and Peak Design is back ordered on that mount right now. So, before I try it out, I'd like to get some input if I can.

Does anybody have any hands on experience with the Peak Design MagSafe ecosystem or the vent mount specifically? If so, would you recommend it? Are there better alternatives in your view? Thanks.

I have their standard non-charging car mount (https://www.peakdesign.com/products/car-mount). It's well-designed and seems to be holding up after a few weeks of exposure to excessive heat in South Florida without any adverse effect on the adhesive. I initially bought the vent mount, but my vents don't have enough slats for it to work, so I returned it and picked up the standard mount.

For my money, ProClip is the way to go for automotive mounts. I've used them in my previous two vehicles as well as set my mom and step-mother up with them in their cars. Unfortunately, the model that fits my current car positions the phone in a really weird location, so I went with the more universal Peak mount.

Thanks. I never heard of the ProClip. It looks interesting. I have the Peak Design vent mount coming but if I don't like it, I'll look into the ProClip.
