Any experience with the Arcteryx? I just ordered it from Amazon but immediately thought of the Covert Specialist that I’ve been meaning to buy for years. I know @newyork (https://pistol-forum.com/member.php?u=2203) (iirc) uses the Covert as an everyday belt and several others here have great things to say about it as a gun belt. I’ve done the search and read the reviews. The regular specialist is a no-go as I spend most of my non-uniformed time with a polo tucked-into business casual or equivalent pants teaching different classes. It just looks too….security guard-ish.

Just wondering if anyone has tried the Arcteryx? I’m wearing a Stormrider gear layered nylon gun belt pretty much every day and it’s starting to wear too fast; both the velcro closure and the sharp hook part abrades my belt loops when threading it on and taking it out. And it’s not that comfortable since it’s so stiff. I like the ability of the Conveyor to go from hiking a trail in technical pants, to teaching a lecture with khakis, to carrying a gun in jeans. The $40 it costs is the upper end of what I would like to spend.

I've not used the Mastermind Covert, but the Arc'teryx Conveyor is my everyday belt... when I'm not CCWing. When I am, I'm still sticking with my tried and tested The Wilderness Ti 5 stitch.

The Conveyor lacks the vertical rigidity to work well for me and my carry set-up (P30LS with carry comp, X400UH, ACRO P-2, and 140mm mag in a custom JMCK AIWB, along with a DSG Koala with a 170mm). Despite having the PtD loops set to the proper width, the holster will often sag, due to the weight of my carry setup, which makes the draw much more inconsistent. With rigorous activity, it can sag enough that the claw no longer engages the belt, having of slipped too low. It might work much better with a more minimal set-up, like a Glock 43 or P365XL or something; it works fine with the rest of the gear I carry (multitool, TQ, phone in holster, and SFB), just doesn't work well with my carry gun in the mix, which is admittedly much more gun than most people carry.

I wore mine for maybe a year and I felt like it started slipping (I think all I had to do is clean out the Velcro but I’m lazy) but I switched back to my VDEV belt. I also stopped wearing aiwb and went to pocketing a j frame.

I have the Covert and the Specialist. I highly recommend the Specialist.

Thanks. Yeah, I have the carry setup covered with my Stormrider Gear Warlord. Just tired of the hook/loop tearing up my beltloops and the loop side is starting to not hold as well. https://www.stormridergear.com/collections/belts/products/warlord The Conveyor would be for times when I’m not carrying and don’t need my stiff gun belt.

I own a bunch of mastermind stuff and love it, but… my do whatever belt that looks good in business attire and has no Velcro is the Tenicor zero. Expensive but worth it too.

Only downside is their color options match that of Henry Ford’s model T.

I bought a Conveyor at the Arkie store in Seattle last summer on vaca. I want to like it but I really can't. The fit of the tip through the buckle is extremely tight and fidgity because of the rivets and I find it very difficult to get it the belt cinched down adequately tight. I would not wear it if I was flying commercial because it's hard to get on and off quickly.

Mastermind covert is great for wearing under basketball shorts or sweats. I've been using it for that purpose for almost 2 years.

I would never use it as intended (never wearing shorts/pants with no belt) but like it for the aesthetics. The contrasting material makes it look less mall cop-ish. How does it work as a regular belt for jeans/ hiking pants?

I haven't rucked with it yet, so I don't know if it'll end up digging into my hips if I put weight on it, but other than that, I am quite fond of it, as it is nice webbing belt that I don't need to chop myself to get the proper length, while also having a decently low profile buckle.

The Tenicor Zero- Only downside is their color options match that of Henry Ford’s model T.

NEWS FLASH!!!

Coyote Colorway now available in the Tenicor Zero!!!!!!!

https://tenicor.com/

Pay attention to the sizing chart and the actual measurements as based on those and my actual experience with the black model, they run a bit big i.e. if I typically ordered a 36, I might order a 34 if they were sold out of the 36. Having said that , you can always cut "excess".

I've had a Covert Specialist for almost 9 months, and it has been worn as a jeans/chinos belt probably 80% of those days. I have not EDCed a heater on it, but have carried some weight directly in knives, keys, different pouches. I always cart a good amount of weight in pockets.

I like it. Easy to adjust, stiff enough for me, not heavy, looks cool. Good buy for the price.

I don't use it for that so not really sure. I prefer a stiffer belt if I'm wearing pants

I used the mastermind for awhile, but got rid of all of them once I got the Tenicor. It is simply better in every way and I don't see the need to ever use and other gun or edc belt.

This 100%. The Tenicor is excellent. I came from the Wilderness 5-stitch belts to 4-5 Masterminds before ending up with Tenicor. I'll not be going back to anything with Velcro or weak buckles that don't hold tight.

Just as a follow-up, I ended up with the Arcteryx in the forage colorway and am 100% happy with my decision. Very light, very comfortable, but has enough stiffness to support a pistol aiwb in a pinch. My dedicated gun belt is definitely better, but not enough for me to change to it mid day. My favorite feature is that it does not slip at all once adjusted, even with weight applied or when pulled on.

The quality is on par with what you expect from Arcteryx and I wear it with everything from a polo and dress pants during lectures and technical pants when hiking and fishing.
