I was finally able to check one off the bucket list!
I was also lucky enough to snag a set of Ken Driskill's elk antler grips after seeking the advise of DB and Tamara.

Excellent! The 3.5" is my favorite. That looks gorgeous with the grips you put on it.

If you gonna have a grail gun that's a dandy place to start.
Congratulations!

F it: I’ll be in his bunk too. That N frame is *that* hot.

Beautiful. I don’t use that word in reference to firearms very often but it seems appropriate here.

I really like it with 38/44 level loads , Ive never been a big 357 Mag fan.
Although that has me thinking about cutting down a S&W model 25 Classic to 3.5 inches , because I have always loved the 45 Colt. Would make a heck of matching pair

I do not have enough likes for this innovative concept.

Great score. The 3 1/2” 27 is an amazing revolver.

45 Lover,
I too shoot 38-44 loads in both of the 357 Mags I still have, plus the 1952-53 vintage 4" Heavy Duty in the safe. A 158g bullet at ~1125 fps is not to be sneezed at but less painful to old arthritic hands than full blown Magnums.

Great score!
Put some rounds through a friend’s original registered magnum with the 3.5” tube and an old pachmayr grip adapter.
Wheelgunning nirvana!

Thank you for sharing that. In my humble opinion, the 3.5 inch Model 27 is the best looking handgun ever made. It boggles my mind that Smith and Wesson does not make a 627 Mountain Gun in that configuration.

I'm also of the opinion that the 3.5" Model 27 is the most beautiful handgun ever made, even more than the Beretta 92...

Oh my that one is pretty!
Still think I'm going to stick to my plan of having a clone in 45 Colt for now. As funds permit.

Damn.
I passed on a 3.5” back in 2018 for $600.
