I've been meaning to send a Glock slide to get milled and ported and now that IDPA says it's legal I think it just moved up on my list.

Who do y'all like for porting and what kind do you like? I've seen Monsoon Tactical on Instagram and they have a few designs.

Would one big port be better or worse than several smaller ports?

Have you seen better use out of a full size slide or compact slide?

Where have you learned this? Has this rule been changed?
8.1.7 Non-IDPA-Legal Features and Modifications for All Divisions
8.1.7.1 The following features and modifications are not allowed in any division unless otherwise specifically allowed in the rulebook.
8.1.7.2 Compensators of any type including hybrid or ported barrels.

Well, hush my mouf, here it is right off the IDPA FB:

A.2.3
ESP Permitted Modifications
A.2.3.2
Ported barrels.

I think I would wait for more official notice, but it looks like superfluous holes in your barrel will now be allowed.

Oh, kayy, here it is officially from HQ
https://www.idpa.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/2023-Equipment-Appendices-Changelog.pdf

Note that is for ESP only, so you won't be able to load 15 any more.

Kind of like the forthcoming USPSA Limited Optic,
"We want you to think your present guns are obsolete so you will buy new ones from our corporate buddies."

I don't play SSP, but I think the newest sig with the built in comp is legal in SSP now. I think we will see a lot of those
