Because why not? Or maybe just because you can doesn't mean you should. You can decide for yourself. I may get one because it's dumb and I'm dumb so how could I not?

Holy shit. I might have to get one just for the ridiculous factor.

How great would it be to show up at a CCW class with that.

Well, I can't get one unless they make a non thread barrel. Threaded barrels are illegal here as it is proven that such barrels are the cause of urban crime, rampages, family violence and lead to insurrections.

I suggest that USPSA have a division just for cheap guns, like this. However, I read the 9s can run pretty well and it's a solution for the underwear drawer guns for poorer folks.

I almost have a perverse desire for one. I looked at 45 ACP version at the LGS but pulled myself away.

Will be funny if they run with the heavy 10mm ammo that chokes the majority of others.

...I read the 9s can run pretty well...

The 40 S&W (JCP) and 45 ACP (JHP) pistols generally run better. The 9mm carbine keeps up with the others for reliability, though.

Speaking of carbines, I would like to hear if this shares magazines with it like the .40 and .45 units do.

Oh, hell no.

Buddy of mine, with a safe full of quality gear, bought a 9mm “Yeet Cannon” for giggles. He shot it once, for giggles, and put it away. We talked about setting a couple up to shoot in a match, but I can’t even be arsed to go to a match and shoot my normal gear these days, let alone buy, set up, and do so with a Hi-Point.

Again, “hell to the naw” on touching one in 10mm.

I’ve thought seriously about picking up a 10mm carbine. I have the 9mm and it’s a pretty fun little package to shoot. I have one of the 9mm pistols. I was not impressed, though it did go bang all the time. Ergonomics suck on it though.

It shares the same mags as the carbine

Oh, man...

Any minute now Tam will poke her head in, give us her Hattie McDaniel eyes in response to this whole train of thought, and we'll end up with another 6 weeks of winter.

What costs more? A box of 10mm or a Hi Point pistol? ;)

Pistol is 49oz / 3.06lbs.

Weighs about as much as a B&T MP9 PDW.

A coworker had bought a .45 a while ago but never shot it. He offered it to me for $100 and I could not say yes fast enough. Still haven't shot it yet though. It's just funny to me to have a Hi-Point .45 in the safe next to an MC Operator and a S&W 4506.

The 9mm Yeet is out. https://www.thetruthaboutguns.com/its-finally-here-the-long-awaited-hi-point-yc9-yeet-cannon-9mm-pistol/

Put a dot on it and head for match!
