This is kind of old-2011, but the NRA just sent me this in an email and I was curious to see the options. Oddly, or maybe not, there was no mention of AIWB.

What are your thoughts? Is it an NRA no-no to carry AIWB?

I think it has far less to do with the NRA's stance on AIWB and more to do with that video being Rob Pincus' thoughts. Keep in mind that the video is geared toward more of a "beginner" CCW crowd and AIWB can be a less than ideal seated/car draw. It seems guaranteed to make you sweep youself on the draw.

I don't carry AIWB yet so may be talking out my butt.

After viewing a re-enactment of the famed Miami FBI Platt/Matix shootout, I am considering going to a 6" Smith 29 stoked with bear loads. And since it's car carry, it'll naturally have to be an ankle rig. :)

It's simply amazing how tough the human noggin can be. :eek:
