RIP. Grew up in the town next to me.

My only quasi "connection" is that I sat in on a trial at which "Henry Hill" testified against Jimmy "The Gent" Burke, (DeNiro's character), back in the early 80's at the federal courthouse in Brooklyn...and my B-I-L worked in the bar, and with "Spider" who was shot by Tommy in "Goodfellas". It was called "Robert's Lounge" back then.

(I have a colorful family, what can I say?)

I've enjoyed Liotta's performances ever since "Something Wild" back in the day.

He played some classic characters -- (all proper handed, too).

Ray Liotta was one of my favorite actors. I hope he died peacefully.

He had several movies in the works, and was actually on location filming...he seems to have just forgot to wake up, according to one news outlet...
