View Full Version : Why is the “Wilson Combat Vertec / Brig Tac” NOT Production Legal? Why ESP?

As the title states, what knocks this out of USPSA production when so many other 92 variants are in? Is there any way to bring it into compliance?

What portion moves it from SSP to ESP?

Found a great deal on a used model, and if possible would like to compete with it. Trying to stay away from two big purchases this year, but if necessary, could tool around in local marches with it and purchase something g on the list later.

Thanks for any insights.

Not on the Production list, maybe.

External modifications, maybe.

Wilson Combat 92 G Centurion Tac (36 oz.)
Wilson Combat 92G Brigadier Tact (36 oz.)

Those are both on there.

I'll also add: I did finish 23rd in the 2017 Production Nationals shooting a Wilson Combat BrigTac when I was sponsored by them.
I'm also pretty sure that the WC BrigTac is SSP legal.
(I get confused on IDPA rules a lot, tho... Which is why I shot an SSP gun and won 2021 IDPA ESP Nationals. WTF do I know tho, right?)

Maybe it is the Vertec configuration that moves it off the Production list.

Who told you, anyhow?

Just to clarify, the original Centurion Tac had a vertec grip. I think they offer both styles now too.

WC is also releasing a Vertec/Brigslide combo (https://www.wilsoncombat.com/92g-vertec-brigadier-tactical/). I'll be they get that approved, but you might want to ask WC.

^^ I'm guessing that was what the OP was actually asking about.

Probably so, I am not up to date on the alphanumerics or supercalifrag branding.
How long will it take them to sell 500?
