I have been hesitant to disassemble the bottom end of my 10mm Specialist. I was afraid I couldn’t get the ambi safety apart and back together. And hesitant about the sear, disconnector and hammer interfaces. Well I did it this afternoon and it was not nearly as bad as I was imagining. I have a few pictures of the hammer hooks and sear nose and it looks real good to me. The half-cock notch hook is noticeably different and looks like it would easily catch a slipped hammer. While I had it apart I was also wondering how the magwell was attached since it is not one piece with the mainspring housing. I included a picture of that as well. The magwell is keyed into the mainspring housing. It is tight and I resolved that mystery. I am a 1911 novice but am very pleased with the quality of all the parts on this pistol.
