Well, as of 0000 today, I am officially retired. 34.5 years total service, including my 12 years of Active Duty time - mostly intact less one extra hole, several broken and poorly set fingers, a compound fracture of one wrist, and other various boo-boos.
Now I just have to figure out what to do with myself to stay away from the ENORMOUS Honey Do list my unbelievably better half has been preparing for the last 27+ years of our marriage... "Duty Call" and "gotta deploy" aren't going to work as excuses any more!
To all my brothers & sisters still slogging through it - stay safe, and you're in my prayers!

Congratulations and thanks for your service! Well deserved.
Congrats!! I’ve got 57 days before I’m eligible to retire. Won’t do it right away but it’ll be nice to have the option to retire and do something else if I want to.

Now you need a hobby, sport, or second career.
A newly retired friend's wife told him: "I married you for better or worse, but not for lunch."

You have made an excellent contribution to your community. Please always remember that! If you get bored, go work at the jail house.

Twice the wife and half the money !!Well, my unbelievably better half got herself a good paying job at a local pharma company, making more than what I'm loosing in my pension, so I'm actually less wife and a little more money!
Thanks to everyone for the well wishes. When the weather gets out of the single digits, I'm going to have to start hitting the range again - no excuses for that now either!
