Need help identifying MP15 action release button...

Can anyone identify the manufacturer of this action release button (icon in picture) on my new (used) CA compliant S&W MP15? I want to remove the button so as to clean and access the internals of the action, but I'm not sure how to remove the button...

That is referred to as a “take down pin” on AR-15’s.

Since you mentioned California, I’m assuming this is an extended takedown pin for an A.R. 15 that has a magazine semi-permanently installed via a CA compliant “bullet button” Necessitating popping the rear takedown pin to load the magazine while it is locked in the lower receiver.

That particular one is the Juggernaut tactical hell fighter.

Thank you HCM, that does answer my question. Watching the assembly video for the Juggernaut pin/button, it would seem that the only way to remove the Juggernaut pin/button for action cleaning access is to back off the castle nut and plate to remove the detent spring pressure to then allow removal of the Juggernaut pin.
